Book Blog (English 9)

Summary: This book was about three people chasing after a gang of false preachers, preaching their god to village people and getting gold from them. In the story, the two rangers Halt, Will, and the warrior Horace,  are tracking the preacher Tennyson, when Tennyson sends out assassins to take care of them. In the conflict with the assassins, Halt was struck by a poisoned crossbow bolt. He got really sick and Will and Horace had no idea what to do. When Will looks at a map he sees a place (from a previous book) with a healer/sorcerer he had met. So he rode to get him to go and heal Halt. In the end Halt gets healed and they catch Tennyson and prove to the villagers that his preachings were false.

People who might like this book: Some of the people who would most likely like this book would be people who like adventure books, more medieval adventure. People who enjoy having people travel around on quests could like it also.

Opinion/explanation: I have a great opinion for this book and all of the Rangers Apprentice series. They are full of action and excitement. I end up finishing these books within two or three days because they get so exciting that I can't put them down. I like the rangers in these series. The rangers are a group of trained bowmen, who blend into their environment with their grayish-green cloaks, hiding in shadows and moving unseen and unheard. Their skill in the bow is amazing! They could hit they're target from hundreds of meters away and still hit their exact target.
